Armenian journalists got familiar with the center of signal system of the border forces
YEREVAN, April 26. /ARKA/. Armenian journalists got familiar with the Center of signal systems of border forces located in the new administrative complex of the main border department.
The new administrative complex will be officially opened on April 26 in the Armenian Boarder Guards Day. The complex includes 12 buildings and structures - administration building, detachment of border crossings, canteen, medical center, gym, club, barracks, warehouses and access service.
Head of Border Guard Service Colonel Gagik Tevosyan said that monitors are installed in the Center for monitoring the situation on the border and receive voice signals, as well as follow the checkpoints through video-monitors in Bagratashen (Armenian-Georgian border) and airport “Zvartnots”.
By the plan of interaction, the system is connected to Russian border guards (guarding some areas of the state border of Armenia).
Armenian border forces receive the signals and hand them over to their Russian colleagues.
Tevosyan said that devices of Armenian production developed by the Institute of Radio-Physics are used in the signaling system.—0—
