Armenian start-up gg enters Russian market
YEREVAN, March 16. /ARKA/. An Armenian start-up gg, which offers ggTaxi taxi service in Armenia, has entered the Russian market on March 14 offering cargo transportation service ggTruck and evacuator service ggEvacuator in the capital Moscow. Russia became the third country after Armenia and Georgia where the Armenian start-up is operating.
According to the co-founder of gg Khachatur Grigoryan, in 2017 the company raised $65,000 from the Russian taxi aggregator “Citymobil", and at the moment the total investment in the project is $215,000.
Managing Partner of "CityMobil" Aram Arakelyan told vc.ru that under the agreement the initial investment is $50,000 with the possibility of investing additional funds without changing the terms of the agreement.
GgTruck and ggEvacuator services operate through an integrated application, available for smartphones on Android and iOS platforms. The cost of calling a truck starts from 1000 Russian rubles, the cost of calling an evacuator - from 1,600 rubles. The final cost depends on the distance traveled and the duration of the order. So far gg accepts only cash for payment, but over time it will add the possibility of payment by card.
Drivers register in the gg system, where they indicate personal information and information about their vehicles. The service earns on the commission which is from 10% to 15% of the cost of order. The company promised its partners not to charge commissions during the first month.
Until the end of 2018 gg expects to reach 400 orders per day, and then 1000 orders. Now in Yerevan, ggTruck service has an average of 50 orders a day. In the future, the company intends to work in other Russian cities with population over one million. --0--
