Armenian state engineering university, Synopsys Armenia launch educational program
YEREVAN, December 12. /ARKA/. The State Engineering University of Armenia (SEUA) and Synopsys-Armenia have launched a joint educational program as part of the university-business cooperation.
Under the new program, a competition will take place to choose the best students from the departments of cybernetics, computers systems, radio techniques and communication systems for them to continue their studies at the Educational Department of Synopsys Armenia.
A new subject, Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics, will be introduced in the curriculum starting from the first year of studies.
According to SEUA Rector Vostanik Marukhyan, the university has been effectively cooperating with Synopsys-Armenia for seven years. “It is time to enhance our cooperation,” the rector said, hoping the new program would give an impetus to the university’s relations with Synopsys-Armenia.
Marukyan pointed out that the company helps the best students to find employment.
In his turn, Executive Director of Synopsys-Armenia Hovik Musaelyan said 55 percent of the internship program’s graduates are currently working on the company and are 30 percent of its workforce.
The university-business cooperation model has proved effective for preparing skilled specialists in the IT sector, Musaelyan added. –0--
