Armenian-Indian Center of Excellence in ICT to teach basic computer skills to senior citizens
YEREVAN, November 24. /ARKA. The Armenian-Indian Center of Excellence in ICT has developed a program to teach basic computer skills to senior citizens, the Enterprises Incubator Fund (EIF) said Monday.
"Senior people are often afraid to use a computer or Internet, because of lack of knowledge and user experience. They also fear they are too old to be taught,' EIF says.
EIF said the training course will teach senior citizens to understand and apply basic computer knowledge and tools, learn how to use e-mail and social networks, search and find information and information sources (books, videos, recipes, news, etc.), establish contacts with friends and family via Skype and more.
To participate in the courses no computer knowledge is required. They are intended for those who do not have knowledge or experience of working with computers, but have a great desire to acquire this knowledge.
The Armenian-Indian Center of Excellence in ICT operates under the joint program of the two governments and is implemented by EIF and C-DAC center.
