Armenian telecom operators paid 5.3 billion drams in taxes in first quarter
YEREVAN, APRIL 28. /ARKA/. In the first quarter of 2017, Armenia’s telecom operators paid a total of 5.3 billion drams in taxes, down from 6.8 billion drams they had paid for the same quarter of 2016, the State Revenue Committee said.
According to the official data, more than 4.9 billion drams of that amount were collected by tax authorities and about 514.1 million drams by customs authorities.
ArmenTel (trading as Beeline) paid 2.18 billion drams (11th place in the list of 1000 largest corporate taxpayers), which was 35.8% less than it had paid in the same period of the last year.
VivaCell-MTS paid 1.8 billion drams (14th place), down 2.6% compared to the first quarter of 2016.
Ucom increased its payments to the state budget 2.2 times to 1.19 billion drams (20th place). GNC Alfa (trading as Rostelecom) paid 160.3 million drams (165th place) against 199.2 million drams paid in the first quarter of 2016.
In general, Armenia’s 1000 largest corporate taxpayers paid over 174.9 billion drams in various taxes in the first three months of 2017, up 11.7% or 18.4 billion drams from the first quarter of 2016. ($ 1 - 484.53 drams). - 0-
