ArmRobotics starts registering participants for robotics contests
YEREVAN, February 22. /ARKA/. The Union of Information technology Enterprises (UITE) announced Tuesday the launch of registration of participants in the contests of robot drones and robots identifying and moving things.
The contest will be conducted as part of ArmRobotics development program.
The UITE press office says that the aim of the contests is to develop and use robotics technology in Armenia, to find the best specialists and to enhance public interest in robotics technology.
Young people under 19 years may apply for participation in the contests of robots identifying and moving things after looking through technical characteristics.
The first three winners will receive money prizes – AMD 700,000, AMD 500,000 and AMD 350,000.
The deadline for submitting applications is April 20.
If any equipment is needed, the application should be filled before February 28.
The contest of robot drones has no age restrictions. All the applicants who submit their applications before March 16 will receive from organizers all the details necessary for their robots.
The deadline for other applicants is April 16.
The first three winners will receive AMD 800,000, AMD 600,000 and AMD 400,000 respectively.
A prize of AMD 700,000 is intended for the best devise controlled by wireless panels.
The first Armrobotics contest was held in Armenia in 2008.
The Union of Informational Technology Enterprises was established in 2000 for protection of economic interests of IT companies and to promote development of IT industry.
Now dozens of IT companies are members of the union. --0---
