EU suggests that Armenia reduce roaming tariffs
YEREVAN, October 2. /ARKA/. The European Union suggested that Armenia lower tariffs for roaming, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said at a briefing with visiting Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations on Monday.
He said the EU presented a proposal on harmonization and reduction of tariffs for roaming between the EU and the member countries of the Eastern Partnership Program, which includes also Armenia. According to him, this issue is currently under discussion.
For his part, Johannes Hahn said the roaming between EU members is likely to be eliminated completely.
Similar discussions on reducing tariffs for roaming are also taking place within the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union of which Armenia is a member too.-0-
