Head of Rostelecom in Armenia speaks for students of American University of Armenia
YEREVAN, April 20. /ARKA/. Hayk Faramazyan, CEO of GNC-ALFA CJSC, one of Rostelecom Group’s companies, spoke Monday for students of the American University of Armenia, the press office of the company reports.
Faramazyan’s lecture was focused on economic development and competitiveness. He shared his experience in telecommunication with the university’s College of Business & Economics presenting current macro- and microeconomic processes to them and also described the company’s peculiarities, and capacity and the challenges the company have faced on its ways.
“The aim of my lecture is to present Armenia’s telecommunication sector in terms of business management and GNC-ALFA company’s business history, its establishment and development, challenges and ways to overcome them,” he said.
Faramazyan said he considers the knowledge the universities like the American University of Armenia, provide to students lays groundwork for Armenian and international companies’ success.
GNC-ALFA began promotion and sale of broadband Internet, IP-TV and a new generation of IP-telephony in Armenia under the brand of Rostelecom from 2012 December. The company’s fiber-optic network covers 80% of the territory of Armenia, extending to more about 3000 km. The network is connected to the main regional backbones and major traffic exchange sites, as well as international channels via Georgia and Iran.
