YEREVAN, February 13. /ARKA/. Signals from the first Armenian-made Hayasat-1 satellite are successfully received on Earth.
"We are pleased to announce that the Hayasat team has successfully recorded the signals received from the satellite and is carrying out routine analysis of the data. The team is very enthusiastic as this work, as well as certain difficulties that arise regularly, are an indispensable platform for new discoveries for educational and research purposes," the Bazoomq Space Research Laboratory said.
The first Armenian-made Hayasat-1 space satellite, created by Bazoomq laboratory and the Center for the Development of Education and Scientific Innovation (CSIE), was successfully launched into Earth orbit on December 1.
The launch took place on SpaceX's Falcon-9 rocket from Vandenerg Base (California, USA). The satellite weighs 1 kg and has parameters 10 cm X 10 cm X 10 cm X 10 cm X 10 cm. It makes one complete revolution around the Earth every 1.5 hours. The signals sent by the satellite can be intercepted when it passes in the sky over Armenia. --0--
