Reps of leading it companies to meet in Dilijan, armenia

YEREVAN, July 1. /ARKA/. Representatives of the leading IT and telecommunication companies will hold an official meeting in Dilijan, Armenia, on July 4-5. The meeting has been organized by the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE).

The goal of the meeting is to work out a program of action to improve Armenia’s telecommunication sector in terms of both prices and quality. The program is supposed to facilitate the formation of an information society in Armenia and a competitive IT and telecommunications industry.

Among the invitees are representatives of the RA Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Transport and Communication, State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition, Central Bank of Armenia as well as of other government agencies and about 80 IT companies.

Among the participants will be RA Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan and Minister of Transport and Communication Gurgen Sargsyan. P.T. –0--
