IT platform for mandatory component of pension system developing in Armenia

YEREVAN, October 6. /ARKA/. In Armenia works are conducted on the development of It platform for the introduction of the mandatory component of accumulated pension system, said Director of Central Depository of Armenia Vahan Stepanyan on Thursday.

The depository will be the main leader of pension accounts and conduct centralized accounting.
“Today we develop a software jointly with the government which will give opportunity to conduct this accounting in automated online regime in the country”, he said.

For volunteer pension system which is introduced in Armenia since 2011 such a centralized accounting is not conducted.

The process of pension reforms started since January 1, 2011 in Armenia through the introduction of volunteer accumulative pension system. From January 1, 2014 accumulative pension system will be introduced in mandatory order where the citizens born after January 1, 1974 will be included. –0—
