Armenian app PicsArt downloaded by over 400 million users

YEREVAN, March 27. /ARKA/. PicsArt, an Armenian mobile photo editor application, has been downloaded by more than 400 million users, according to the company's website. The application is used by more than 90 million active users every month, it said.

PicsArt provides a real creative freedom through over 3,000 tools and effects, designed for editing, with special artificial intelligence. It is available worldwide in 20 languages. PicsArt is free for all iOS, Android and Windows platforms.

According to the founder of the company Artavazd Mehrabyan and CEO Mikael Vardanyan, over the past two years the number of employees has increased by 2.5 times. Currently PicsArt office in Armenia has more than 350 employees, many of whom are IT, program management and design specialists. The average age of employees is 25 years. PicsArt also has more than 30 employees in its San Francisco office.

PicsArt was worth $250 million late last year, according to Forbes. The first version of PicsArt appeared for devices running on Android operating system in November 2011; in 2013 the application was available for devices working on iOS and in 2014 on Windows platforms. 

CNET online portal has recognized the Armenian PicsArt application as the best mobile photo editor application in 2017 for devices running on iOS and Android operating systems. -0-. -0-
