Digitec Expo 2016 organizers offer substantial privileges to startups

YEREVAN, September 16. /ARKA/. The organizers of the annual Digitec Expo 2016 offer substantial privileges to startup companies wishing to participate in the event, which will allow them to showcase their services and ideas and to have also business meetings with representatives of the sphere, the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) said.

This year’s exhibition is expected to bring together about 170 local and foreign companies. The organizers estimate that about 60,000 people will visit it.

The exhibition will also feature a string of related events –a conference on innovation and entrepreneurship, while the GeneratioS accelerator will hold October 1 a competition to choose the best Smart City project.

Another event is Robofest parade with about 150 Armenian Armath engineering laboratories. The participants will present their achievements in the field of robotics and programming, and will compete with each other. There will also be a championship of computer and mobile games.

The 12th Digitec Expo -2016 is scheduled to take place in Yerevan from September 30 to October 2.
The organizer of the exhibition, which is held under the high patronage of the Armenian Prime Minister, is the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE). ARKA news agency is a permanent information sponsor of the event.-0-
