Kaspersky Lab to conduct workshop in Armenia for finance sector managers

YEREVAN, June 23. /ARKA/. Kaspersky Lab, a technology leader in developing security software which protects against viruses, spyware, crimeware, hacker attacks, phishing, spam and others will conduct June 24 a workshop in Yerevan for representatives of banks, credit institutions, investment and pension funds, mobile and Internet operators.

"Financial cyber crimes in Armenia have become more frequent with criminals using increasingly sophisticated methods to steal money from customers of financial institutions and the institutions themselves," Armen Karapetyan, representative of Kaspersky Lab in Armenia and Georgia said to ARKA.

He emphasized that in order to counter cyber threats managers of financial organizations, employees of information technology and information security companies should have the latest knowledge of modern cyber threats, methods and tools to combat them.

"This knowledge and tools will be presented to the participants of the workshop in Armenia so that they raise the level of protection of their financial institutions and their customers," said Karapetyan. -0-
